Job Overview
Older Adult Falls Special Project Coordinator within the Violence & Injury Prevention Section (VIPS). Provides program direction, oversees statewide injury‑prevention initiatives, and supports implementation of evidence‑based programs aimed at reducing older adult falls across Ohio.
Responsibilities- Lead older adult falls prevention initiatives, including evidence‑based programs and statewide strategy development.
- Manage grants, contracts, reporting, and program documentation for VIPS projects, including ACL grant activities and Stepping On licensing.
- Research best practices, prepare strategic materials, and support communication efforts.
- Provide technical assistance to partners, contractors, and stakeholders; support policy and systems change work.
- Evaluate program activities, track outcomes, and gather data to inform decision‑making.
- Coordinate the Ohio Injury Prevention Partnership (OIPP), maintain member communication, and support workgroup objectives.
- Build partnerships with community organizations, health systems, and government agencies to advance injury‑prevention work.
- Develop surveys, reporting tools, and evaluation methods; prepare required records and reports.
- 4 years training or experience in business administration, management science, or public administration; or
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, management science, or public administration and 2 years training or experience in a supervisory, administrative, or managerial position; or
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in an academic field commensurate with program area and 2 years training or experience in a supervisory, administrative, or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research, or policy/procedure development; or
- 1 year experience as Program Administrator 1, 63122; or
- Equivalent minimum class qualifications for employment.

$33.32 per hour. Salary may increase to $35.21 per hour after six months of satisfactory performance and then yearly raises thereafter.
ScheduleFull‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
