- Research and respond to inquiries and complaints regarding alleged violations of ORC 4765 & 4766 and related rules.
- Prepare detailed case findings for administrative or legal action.
- Collate information regarding complaints or alleged violations, conduct interviews of witnesses, respondents, suspects, and other parties; gather, review, and record documentation from various sources.
- Maintain accurate records and filing system.
- Operate database for complaint tracking.

- Option 1: 30 months of training or 30 months of investigative experience with experience corresponding to the types of complaints and alleged violations appearing in the posting; AND valid driver’s license.
- Option 2:
Completion of an associate core program in law enforcement, criminal justice or a related academic field; AND 12 months experience conducting investigations and/or inspections; AND valid driver’s license. - Option 3: 30 months of training or 30 months of experience as Investigator Assistant, 26210 with experience corresponding to the types of complaints and alleged violations appearing in the posting; AND valid driver’s license.
- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
- Assigned Program Area:
Completion of associate core program in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fire Science, Criminal Justice or related field of study.
Requires travel including overnight stays; exposure to hostile, unpredictable and/or violent persons; may work weekends; may work flexible hours.
