7:00 AM to 10:00 PM rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Public Safety Intelligence Analyst

• Generate and disseminate time‑sensitive and emerging cyber‑threat and intelligence information to homeland security partners.
• Review and analyze information and data from public and private sources, field organizations, and agencies.
• Monitor and evaluate the accuracy and reliability of information and sources.
• Advise and assist agencies on priority intelligence requirements, target and problem areas.
• Recognize trends of terrorist, emergency management, or criminal operations.

• Option 1: 36 months experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques.
• Option 2:
  Completion of an undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field, and 12 months experience in research and report writing of the type described above.
• Equivalent minimum qualifications as stated in the posting.

• LEADS certification is required; renewal bi‑annually.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret level U.S. federal security clearance.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide transportation or operate a state‑owned vehicle.
• Travel may be required.
• A background check, including BCI and FBI fingerprint, polygraph, and drug test.
• Position is safety‑sensitive and subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DPS 501.24.
