Mental Health Administrator 4

Under general direction, the Mental Health Administrator 4 provides senior-level leadership and oversight for State and Federal statewide grant programs and allocations within the Criminal Justice Bureau. This position administers, monitors, and evaluates complex funding portfolios, ensuring all funded programs comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, funding requirements, policies, and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers, monitors, and oversees large-scale statewide grant programs and allocations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements.
  • Prepares, reviews, and submits required reports, including financial documentation, programmatic performance reports, and progress updates.
  • Provides advanced technical assistance and guidance to program recipients, strengthening alignment with grant expectations and improving program effectiveness.
  • Conducts comprehensive monitoring to ensure adherence to funding guidelines, quality standards, and performance benchmarks.
  • Supports local communities in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities at the intersection of criminal justice and behavioral health systems.
  • Identifies local priorities and leverages in-kind state resources to advance process improvement strategies.
  • Assists communities in monitoring outcomes, and delivering actionable feedback to strengthen service delivery.
  • Provides leadership in developing program strategies, policy recommendations, and system improvement initiatives related to criminal justice and behavioral health integration.

This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of $40.40. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This position is located within James
