Job Title
Research Assistant 2-B/H-2
Department
Medicine | IM Immunology and Rheumatology
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting scientific investigations into autoimmune diseases as directed.
- Conducting experiments using molecular, cellular, and biological techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, assays, cell cultures, Northern and Western blotting.
- Handling tissue and blood samples, testing procedures, and routine lab animal procedures.
- Recording, analyzing, and summarizing research data for publications and grant proposals.
- Assisting in preparing reports, manuscripts, posters, and abstracts.
- Performing library research and maintaining accurate laboratory records.
- Training junior staff and students in research methods and equipment use.
- Managing laboratory equipment and supplies.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; 2-3 years relevant experience; ability to apply biological/health science research skills; background check required. Pre-employment physical and drug screen may be required.
