Rank Faculty Position in Neuromodulation Psychiatry

Job Summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking several open‑rank faculty members to join our Department. The goal is to expand our mission in neuromodulation and interventional psychiatry research. Salary and benefits are highly competitive, including tuition reimbursement for qualifying dependents.

Faculty will join a multi‑disciplinary team of clinicians and scientists in the Mood and Anxiety Program and/or the Addiction Program. They are expected to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits, including the following:

• Conduct evidence‑based research on neuromodulation treatments for psychiatric conditions (mood disorders, addictions, or both).
• Develop and lead clinical, education, and research programs related to interventional psychiatry.
• Evaluate mechanisms and moderators of neuromodulation treatments.
• Examine clinical and functional outcomes, treatment satisfaction, and cost‑effectiveness of interventions.
• Train residents, medical students, postdocs, and interns in neuromodulation methods.
• Secure and manage external research funding.

• Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program; if clinical degree, licensed in Ohio at time of appointment.
• Expertise in neuromodulation techniques such as tMS, low‑frequency ultrasound, psilocybin, ketamine/esketamine, etc.
• Strong record of external research funding and experience leading or substantially contributing to clinical education and research programs.
• Preference for candidates with experience evaluating mechanisms, moderators, functional outcomes, and cost‑effectiveness of neuromodulation treatments.
• Demonstrated commitment to training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care; willingness to work with patients in these areas.
