What you need to know about this position:
- Professional & Compassionate first connection with patients, visitors & vendors at hospital entry, department check-in locations and on phones, utilizing strong customer service skills.
- Strong dedicated team that work closely with focus on details & patient experience in variety of roles including preregistration, admission, appointment check-in, cash collections, & scheduling.
- The department culture allows for dynamic variety each week through cross-training, which allows staff to work in several different roles within the team.
- This position is responsible for gathering registration information and signatures of inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients.
- This position is responsible for collecting insurance co-pays/deductibles and bill payments to post appropriately to patient accounts.
- This position schedules walk-in patients and orders tests for assigned departments.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $16.00. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- In this full-time position, 40 hours a week, you will be scheduled to work 5–8-hour days, 8:00am-4:30pm, Mondays through Friday with a holiday rotation.
- With at least 16 hours per week, this position is benefit eligible.
- Upon hire, you must have:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to push or pull patients in wheelchairs. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
