The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is recruiting for Health Systems Improvement Manager to direct activities to advance ODM’s Population Health and Quality Strategy through the Statewide Hospital System Learning Networks and the State Directed Payment Program. As the selected candidate you will perform the following job duties:
- Supervises assigned staff (e.g., directs work, establishes unit goals in accordance with bureau and agency goals and objectives)
- Manages the development and implementation of the Statewide Hospital System Learning Networks and the State Directed Payment Program
- Manages the development of value-based programs with health systems to incentivize outcomes improvement (e.g., set accountability structures, communications, and technical assistance)
- Develops strategies for collecting and analyzing of data to evaluate hospital system performance in improving quality health care outcomes
- Analyzes and interprets federal and state regulations, rules, and laws to ensure program compliance
- Acts as liaison with other agency representatives and/or outside agencies, providers, advocates, beneficiaries & consumers
The preferred candidate will have knowledge of learning networks, value-based arrangements, and quality improvement science.
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 24 months experience in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data analysis).
- Or 24 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1, 65295.
