Compensation- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$2040
- Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
- Healthcare Setting: 10 BSH Stroke Unit (Neuro Stepdown/PCU)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Floating: Required to float to other units within the healthcare organization as needed
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state RN license
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS certification preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
- Two professional references required (at least one from a supervisor/manager or charge RN)
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Provide high-quality clinical care to adult patients on a specialized stroke and neuro stepdown unit
- Monitor and manage patients with neurological diagnoses: stroke, craniotomy, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips; manage central/PICC/arterial lines; provide wound care
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer blood products; follow heparin protocols
- Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and patient management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more
- Float to other units within the healthcare organization as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and isolation precautions
