Resident Services Aide​/STNA

Westerwood is actively seeking a part-time Resident Services Aide to add to our incredible team and community. This position provides care to our Independent Living residents and is scheduled to work 7am-3pm, every other weekend.

The Resident Services Aide is responsible for assisting residents to live independently in their apartments, as long as their capabilities permit. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assists residents with activities of daily living including such as dressing, showering, shampooing, nail/skin care, and other personal care.
• Provides services such as blood pressure checks, wellness checks, basic first aid, wheelchair transport, activity reminders, etc.
• Assists residents with other chores such as bed making, light housekeeping, mail pick-up, etc.
• Assists and reminds resident to take medication by verbal prompting.
• Responds to apartment calls and emergencies.
• Assists residents in integrating into the community by providing encouragement, emotional support, and facilitating formation of friendships, attendance at activities, etc.

Must enjoy working with seniors, must be honest, dependable, and exhibit a warm caring manner. Must be able to move residents using a transfer belt, or assistance from others. Must be observant and able to report and document resident status and care rendered. Ohio STNA certification is required and at least one year of previous experience.
