Job Opportunity Position:
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Oncology Pod)

Note: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of travel experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Oncology experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:3 during shifts.
• Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary.

• Proficient in starting IVs and managing intravenous therapy.
• Telemetry monitoring experience is essential.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and administer appropriate interventions.
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Experience in emergency response and care of ventilated patients.

• General Emergency Department that accommodates adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
• Facility is STEMI and Stroke Certified.
• Float to different areas within the department as required.
• Weekend coverage is expected every other or every third weekend, with patient ratios of 1:3.

  Number of beds: 19.

Must meet experience requirements within the last 3 years. At least 1 year of current specialty experience is required for a clinical pass. Submission of Request Time Off (RTO) is required at the time of application.

Shift assignments are assessed every 4-week scheduling period, and may involve a mix of day and night shifts based on department needs.
