Job Description
TITLE
Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse - Cardiac Medical ICU

SCHEDULE

- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts
- Weekends:
Every other weekend

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Patient Ratio:
Estimated 1:1-1:2
- Orientation: 36 hours

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- EPIC experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Key clinical skills:
- Advanced cardiac support and device familiarity (IABP, Impella, hemodynamic monitoring)
- Ventilator/airway management (vent settings, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, suctioning)
- Vascular access and invasive lines (arterial lines, central lines, PICC, blood product administration)
- CRRT/renal support
- Dysrhythmia recognition/management and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
- IV starts and telemetry experience

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Ohio fingerprinting process is urgent; candidates must complete fingerprints immediately after contract.
- RTO required with submission; must be built into the contract.
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager/director.
- Licensure: RNs must have valid compact or state license in hand at the time of submission.
- Vaccines:
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- Former employees eligible only after >6 months away; current facility employees ineligible for traveler role.
- Locals accepted at the same rate.
