About the Position
Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Schedule:
Three 12-hour night shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays
Highlights:
Progressive care unit with diverse patient population including renal, hepatology, cardiology, pulmonology, and adult cystic fibrosis patients
1:3 patient ratio across all shifts for optimal work-life balance
EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
36-hour orientation period to ensure successful transition
Two pre-approved time-off periods available during assignment
Advanced clinical environment with cardiac drips, insulin protocols, central line management, and high-flow oxygen therapy
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
EPIC EMR experience required
Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Experience with IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, central and peripheral line care, heparin protocols, cardiac drips, and high-flow nasal cannula
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
