Job DescriptionThe Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Patient Revenue Cycle Coordinator 3 to join the Patient Revenue Cycle Services team. This full‑time position reports to the Manager of Patient Financial Services and provides support for registration and daily financial operations while serving the patients of the College of Dentistry through verification of insurance coverages, pre‑authorizations, cashiering, and collections functions.
The proportion of time dedicated to each of these duties varies based on clinic needs. Additional duties include answering phones, registering, scheduling, and greeting patients, verifying and interpreting insurance coverage, processing patient payments, and serving as liaison between doctors, patients, and payers.
- Verify insurance coverages and pre‑authorizations.
- Perform cashiering and collections functions.
- Answer phones and greet patients.
- Register, schedule, and organize patient appointments.
- Interpret insurance coverage and process patient payments.
- Liaise between clinicians, patients, and payers.
- Required: Two years’ experience in customer service or communications, analyzing and interpreting information, operation of computer and related peripheral equipment, and information research and analysis.
- Desired: 4–6 years’ experience in customer service with direct (in‑person) contact, preferably in a healthcare, dental, or medical office environment; experience using computers to generate a variety of materials; considerable data entry experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); ability to use basic office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, printers, and laminators; high level of verbal and written skills;
ability to contribute within a fast‑paced team environment.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. The employee is required to use a keyboard and perform other computer work, review documents in hard copy and electronic formats, and use sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to function in a general office environment.
HoursMonday through Friday, 8am to 5pm; 40 hours per week.

Salary$18.37 – $23.99 per hour, based on experience and education.
