Certified Surgical Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support a high-acuity Operating Room environment specializing in trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedic spine, bariatric, and complex general surgery procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong Level I Trauma experience, excellent sterile technique skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced surgical settings with variable shift scheduling and call requirements. This role requires expertise in advanced surgical procedures, robotics, trauma cases, and multidisciplinary collaboration while maintaining patient safety and operating room efficiency.

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments for complex surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by passing instruments, handling supplies, and anticipating surgical needs.
• Support neurosurgery, spine, orthopedic spine, bariatric, trauma, transplant, robotic, and general surgery cases.
• Perform surgical counts and maintain compliance with aseptic and infection prevention protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems and specialty instrumentation.
• Assist with patient positioning, specimen handling, wound care, and sterile field management.
• Ensure proper instrument processing, sterilization, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary OR teams to support patient safety and workflow efficiency.
• Respond effectively during trauma and emergency surgical procedures.
• Adhere to radiation safety, laser safety, isolation precautions, PPE, and universal protocol standards.
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and overnight call coverage as required.

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room Surgical Technologist experience required.
• Experience in Neurosurgery and Spine procedures required.
• Experience in Complex Orthopedic/Orthopedic Spine surgery required.
• Experience in Complex General Surgery including Bariatric Surgery required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• Strong experience in high-acuity trauma and surgical environments required.
• Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules required.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills required.
• Shift is 12-hour night shift (06:30 PM - 07:00 AM), 36 hrs/week
• Location is Columbus, OH 43210
• Pay Range for Locals: $50 - $54 per hour
• Pay Range for Travelers: $2,140 - $2,180 per week
