Senior Cardiovascular Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic vascular examinations, utilizing equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data of the vascular system.
• Recognized as clinical experts in the field of Vascular Sonography, performing high skill level ultrasound exams (mesenteric and renal arteries).
• Participate in the lab accreditation process as well as the quality improvement/assurance process.
• Provide education and training to sonographers.
• Serve as a professional and technical role model for staff.
• Travel to satellite locations and clinic sites may be necessary to perform job duties.

• Graduate of accredited (CAAHEP) ultrasound program (Associate or Bachelor) or equivalent education and experience.
• Current RVT and BCLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a vascular sonographer.
• Vascular ultrasound experience including working knowledge of ultrasound equipment (imagers and physiological).
• Thorough knowledge of, and ability to consistently perform high skill level exams (mesenteric and renal arteries) that correlate with other modalities (CT, angiography, surgery).
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continuous learning through willingness to attend and participate at conferences.
