Psychologist – Psychosis Emphasis (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a clinical psychologist to join the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Overview

At OSUWMC, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. We seek candidates that complement our current strengths and support our clinical mission by building our psychosis program. The successful candidate will work within our interdisciplinary EPICENTER team caring for patients with and at‑risk for psychotic, bipolar, and related disorders. The psychologist directs or provides care in a manner consistent with the privileges granted by the governing body of University Hospitals and as approved by the University Board of Trustees.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical evaluation and assessment, individual cognitive‑behavioral therapy, metacognitive remediation therapy, family education and support, and community education.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team serving patients referred for treatment of psychotic, bipolar, and related disorders.
  • Contribute to training, research, and scholarly pursuits within the department.
  • Participate in committees, conferences, and professional meetings; represent the program or department at community engagements.
  • Practice within the established Medical Center standards of practice, policies, procedures, and protocols.
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology.
  • Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of Ohio.
  • Applicants must have completed an APA‑ or CPA‑accredited clinical or counseling psychology doctoral program with an accredited clinical internship.
  • At least one year of relevant post‑doctoral experience.
  • Must be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment.
  • Competency in technical clinical skills and cognitive/interpersonal skills required to serve patients with psychotic and/or bipolar disorders.
  • Prior training or experience with patients with psychotic and/or bipolar disorders will be given preference.
