Job SummaryThe Patient Revenue Cycle Lead Coordinator functions as a key member of the College of Dentistry (CoD) Revenue Cycle Services Team, primarily responsible for overseeing back‑end Revenue Cycle activities including charge review, billing, follow‑up, denial management, claims processing, cash reconciliation, banking interactions, 835 processing, bad debt, payer interactions, grievance management, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Oversee billing and collection of patient accounts for all CoD outpatient clinics.
- Perform charge review, billing, follow‑up, denial management, and claims processing.
- Manage cash reconciliation, banking interactions, and 835 processing.
- Handle bad debt, payer interactions, grievance management, and customer service.
- Guide and coordinate workflow and assist on large projects through indirect management of staff.
- Maintain internal communication with higher‑level leadership and make independent decisions.
- Analyze patient data with a high level of accuracy.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in dental or medical office front desk, operations, scheduling, or billing.
- Proven experience guiding and coordinating workflow and communicating effectively with leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) software is desired.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with a diverse population.
- Experience in training or business office operations preferred.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Ability to develop and create ongoing process improvements.
- High level of emotional intelligence and teamwork.
- Accurate patient data analysis and reporting.
Candidate must be able to push/pull carts containing office supplies, bend/stretch/twist to pick up supplies, maintain office appearance, stand and walk for periods of time serving and assisting customers.
ScreeningsSuccessful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening is required.
Work ScheduleMonday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
CompensationTargeted hiring pay range: $19.28 – $25.19 per hour, based on experience and education.
