Job Description Summary

External applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a $25,000 sign‑on bonus with a one‑year work commitment for a full‑time position. Previously employed applicants who have been away from the organization for more than 90 days may also be eligible. Candidates who live more than 100 miles from the work location may receive relocation assistance up to $13,000

The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist is the assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X‑ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, arteriovenous malformations, stroke interventions, and sterile technique. Depending on location there may be an on‑call requirement.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • 85% of the time as a radiologic technologist, assist the interventionalist with diagnostics and interventions as described above.
  • 10%: greet patients upon arrival, check chart for required data (e.g., informed consent), report absences or abnormalities to RN/physician, explain procedures, give instructions, answer patient questions, participate in room turnover, and transport patients.
  • 5%: assist the Radiation Safety Officer in QA of labs and radiation protective apparel, perform tasks using radiation safety principles, check lead aprons for tears, report findings, remove inadequate gear from service, and maintain accurate records.
Minimum Qualifications
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – American Heart Association
  • BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Licensed in Field – State of Ohio
