Radiology Technologist
$5000 Sign On Bonus
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures as ordered by Provider.
- Full Time/Benefits Eligible
- Monday-Friday - 8am - 5pm
- Columbus, OH
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Responsible for explaining procedure to patient and answer questions.
- Use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials as well as various media.
- Ensure equipment is in working order and reports malfunctions to appropriate person(s).
- Process routine paperwork as necessary.
- Maintain examination rooms, stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
- Attend required staff and educational meetings.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Licensures & Certifications
- Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist
- Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform x-ray testing
- Knowledge of radiology equipment
- Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement
- Skill in properly positioning patients as well as properly identifying equipment problems
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patient, medical staff, and the public
- Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables
- Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices
- Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Excellent relationship building skills
