Job Description
Summary:
Rotates support alongside Sonographers;
Exercise Physiologists and Technicians;
Monitor Specialists; and Cardiology Technicians for daily clinical and clerical processes. Requires an extensive understanding of the products and services performed by the department with a focus on high-impact activities.
- Schedules multidisciplinary testing procedures; monitors patient/staff flow and operation within assigned area.
- Assists in coordinating diagnostic tests.
- Performs basic cardiac testing procedures according to test requests such as EKG, and application of heart monitoring devices; provides quality reports to ordering providers.
- Facilitates diagnostic outside interpretations.
- Provides timely and efficient billing and auditing processes.
- Facilitates electronic transfer of echo cardiographic images to and from outside institutions.
- Provides clerical tasks associated with advanced and routine diagnostic testing procedures, including interpretation facilitation, distribution, verbal and written correspondence, documentation, and records management.
High school graduate or equivalent, required. Post‑Secondary school within a healthcare related field preferred.
CertificationsCPR certification, required.
Skills- Demonstrated emotional intelligence skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatric to adult).
- Ability to function with flexibility and adaptability to an ever changing and fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of equipment used with the specialty of Cardiology.
1 year of healthcare related experience, preferred.
