American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 3+ years of experience for a comprehensive breast center offering a no-weekend, no-call day shift schedule.

Requirements
  • Active ARRT (T) certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Ohio state license required if applicable
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Fully competent with Varian True Beam linacs and Aria version 15
  • Vision RT experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with IMRT, SBRT, VMAT, SRS, and respiratory gating techniques preferred
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Skilled in radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and chart checks
  • Ability to use lift/transfer devices and provide patient/family education
Responsibilities
  • Work in an outpatient comprehensive breast center setting
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm with 30-minute lunch break
  • 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks to accommodate 40 guaranteed hours
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • 13-week assignment
  • Uses Varian True Beam LINAC and Aria version 15 for treatment
  • Vision RT experience preferred but not required
  • Uses Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning system
  • Uses Varis/Vision-ARIA record and verify systems
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Deliver external beam radiation therapy for a variety of treatment types including benign brain tumors, prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials, and heterotopic bone
  • Perform beam modifying/positioning and treatment planning tasks
  • Utilize dosimetry techniques including parallel opposed fields, single field, and weighted fields
  • Participate in rapid response/code team protocols as needed
  • Scrubs required with black pants and any top
  • First-time travelers will be considered dependent on prior experience
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
  • Current employees ineligible for travel assignment at this facility
  • RTO must be submitted and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less
  • Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
