Clinical Research Coordinator-Hematology

Clinical Research Coordinator responsible for the coordination and oversight of clinical research protocols investigating hematology malignancies primarily in observational studies, within the Division of Hematology; coordinates clinical research activities to include identifying and assessing eligibility of patients for clinical research study participation; discussing research studies with patients and their family members; obtains informed consent, assists with data quality control; scheduling and conducting monitoring visits and query resolution;

participant screening, recruitment, and bio-specimen collection. Assists with IRB submissions, modifications and amendments; collaborates with an interdisciplinary research team made up of members from the Division of Hematology, other personnel within the OSUWMC, as well as external; ensures that all necessary data is collected and reported as appropriate; provides support to the members of the clinical research team in developing plans to meet the requirements of new clinical research studies;

participates in writing manuscripts and in preparation of grant submissions; researches, develops and creates detailed reports and presentations in response to data and reporting requests; participates in internal and external quality reviews; analyzes, queries, interprets and summarizes data; collects and extracts data; ensures and verifies data integrity. Generates reports and reviews to ensure validity of data; supports activities to ensure compliance with all Institutional Review Boards (IRB), FDA (Federal Drug Administration), federal, state and industry sponsor regulations;

assists with coordinating and preparing for external quality assurance and control reviews by IRB, federal or industry sponsors.

Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required. 1 year of relevant clinical research experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
