Respiratory Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12.0

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care through intensive respiratory care and patient transport, as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional license and with minimal supervision. The role evaluates patients, recommends treatment plans, and educates patients upon discharge.

Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers.

Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning using various methods.

Monitor oximetry and capnography as per policy.

Review patients' chest x-rays and conduct pulmonary function studies.

Assist with procedures relating to respiratory care, including bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.

Perform arterial puncture and utilize ventilation efficiency monitoring techniques.

Conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.

Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses.

Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist is required. Relevant certifications in BLS and ACLS are also necessary.
