Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory Therapy

Schedule:

• Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Weekends:
  Required

Requirements:

• Active respiratory license
• RRT preferred
• Minimum of 2 years respiratory experience
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic)
• Core clinical skills including:
• Mechanical ventilation management and weaning
• ABG interpretation
• High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP/CPAP
• Trach care and suctioning
• Aerosol therapy and inhaled medications

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage mechanical ventilation and support weaning processes for patients.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to assess patient respiratory status.
• Administer high-flow nasal cannula and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) as needed.
• Provide tracheostomy care, including airway placement and suctioning.
• Deliver aerosol therapy and manage inhaled medications using nebulizers and metered-dose inhalers (MDI).
• Troubleshoot and respond to high-pressure alarms and provide extubation support.

Compliance / Notes:

• Compliance deadline:
  Submissions must meet the Tuesday-before-start cutoff.
• Fingerprinting required immediately after booking; urgent completion expected.
• RTO documentation required with submission.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Current employees of the facility are ineligible.
