Psychologist – Rehabilitation Psychologist (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
Position OverviewThe Division of Rehabilitation Psychology in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking to hire a Rehabilitation Psychologist with a strong background in working with patients with acquired disabilities from neurologic conditions or musculoskeletal injuries. The role will primarily involve providing outpatient psychotherapy to adults diagnosed with cancer, functional neurological disorders, amputation, or burn injury, with potential inpatient clinical responsibilities as the division grows.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Provide clinical evaluation and assessment of patients.
- Deliver individual and group psychotherapy using evidence‑based interventions.
- Maintain knowledge of DSM‑5 and ICD‑10 mental health diagnoses.
- Participate in teaching, training of post‑doctoral fellows and residents, and scholarly research.
- Serve on departmental committees and represent the program at conferences and community engagements.
- Adhere to Medical Center policies, procedures, protocols and key performance areas.
- Successful completion of an APA‑accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology and an APA‑accredited internship.
- Post‑doctoral fellowship training in a healthcare or rehabilitation/medical setting (preferred).
- Board certification or eligibility in Rehabilitation Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
- Strong interest in academic medicine.
