Summary:
Assists radiologic technologists in preparing patients for procedures, positioning patients, and operating imaging equipment.
Job Description:
Essential Functions- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
- Operates and maintains radiologic equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Assists radiologic technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Monitors patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintains patient records and ensures that all necessary information is accurately documented.
- Follows safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
Education Requirement:
High School graduate or equivalent, required. Current student ofan accredited Radiologic Technology Program, preferred.
Licensure Requirement: (not specified)
Certifications:
CPR certification, required.
Skills:
Ability to learn new procedures,follow instructions, and establish professional rapport with patients, staff, and physicians. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
Three quarters of experience as a student radiographer, preferred.
