Instrumentation Coordinator – Sterile Processing

Schedule

3rd shift — Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional scheduled holidays.

Assignment Details

This is an enterprise-wide role within a healthcare facility.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of sterile processing experience in a high-volume hospital environment.
• Experience in a Trauma Level II facility is required;
  Trauma Level I experience is preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  CBSPD or CRCST (HSPA/formerly IAHCSMM accepted).
• Experience with sterilization processes, including STERRAD and steam.
• Knowledge of high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing.
• Familiarity with instrument tracking systems (e.g., Censitrac).
• Charting experience with Epic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination and manual cleaning of instruments and equipment.
• Assembly and standardization of instrument trays/sets across service lines.
• Execution of sterilization processes and monitoring.
• Maintenance of sterile storage and distribution.
• Coordination of OR liaison duties and instrument tracking.
• Floating between multiple reprocessing sites as required.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine is not required. Two professional references are required, with at least one being a manager or director. Candidates must complete fingerprinting immediately after booking. No candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the care site are eligible.
