What You ll Do

• Assist pathologists in grossing and histological processing of specimens, primarily benign lesions (95%) and some cancer resections
• Work in the Doan lab handling specimens from the University Hospital OR, including native livers and colon cancer resections
• Select tissue specimens for karyotyping and biopsy procedures, supporting research and diagnostic workflows
• Prepare and document tissue samples for pathology review and further testing
• Support procurement activities and maintain specimen integrity under supervision
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing and accurate reporting

What You Need
Required:

• Certified Pathologists Assistant (PA) (ASCP)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting

Preferred:

• Experience working with benign and malignant tissue specimens
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced lab environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
