The position is responsible for providing quality toxicology testing to OSUMC patients and clients as well as to the community. It requires effective interactions with staff and clients. The laboratory also provides training for residents and medical technology students, and various research functions. The department is staffed Sunday through Saturday, 7am-1130pm.
Position SummaryThe Student Med Tech will be working primarily in the Toxicology lab. Student will be required to fill supplies, filing, enter information into the
Lab Information System, reagent prep, cleaning glassware, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. The student will work under the
direction of the Lab manager, lead technologists, medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians.
For Hire:
Enrolled in a four year or two-year medical technology program with a preference of a junior status.
Ongoing:
Meets mandatory hospital education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal,
and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions
