Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Shift: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Available
Position SummaryHarmony Gardens Assisted Living is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Personal Caregivers to join our team. The Person al Caregiver provides direct assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes resident independence, and helps create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents.
The ideal candidate demonstrates kindness, patience, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident care.
Essential Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Toileting
- Mobility and transfers
- Assist residents during meals and monitor food and fluid intake as directed.
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with recreational and social activities.
- Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain clean and organized.
- Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
- Document care and services provided according to facility policies.
- Respond promptly to resident call systems and requests for assistance.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, medication aides, and other team members.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents safely.
- Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment requirements.
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, memory care, or home health.
- STNA certification (not required).
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
