Primary One Health is currently seeking an Optometric Technician for our Columbus vision centers.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Obtains and records patient’s preliminary case history.
  • Maintains records, and schedules appointments/ referrals.
  • Prepares patient for vision examination. Assists Optometrist in pretesting activities such as distance and near acuity, depth perception, color vision, and visual field/ GDx/ OCT testing.
  • Instructs patient in care and use of glasses, assists patient in frame selection; adjusts, orders, and repairs glasses and contact lens; instructs patients under the supervision of the Optician or Optometrist.
  • Maintains inventory of materials, orders exam supplies, invoicing POs, schedules equipment repairs and cleans instruments.
  • Proficient with front desk receptionist duties and computer skills.
  • May assist in training of new hires to the department, including providing EHR training/guidance, department or position-specific training, and general site onboarding.
  • Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Successful candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum tow years' experience as an optometric technician preferred.
