Job Description
Summary:
Monitors and promotes the health and well-being of employees through various programs and initiatives.
- Assists in monitoring the health of employees by coordinating appointments and organizing medical records.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee health information and complies with all relevant privacy laws and regulations.
- Collects, documents, and reports vital signs.
- May complete screening questions and documentation or minor specimen testing as assigned.
- Ensures environmental standards are met and all unit and patient areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained.
- Collaborates with management to develop and implement health and wellness programs for employees.
- Coordinates department communications and the processes related to administrative and environmental activities on the unit.
- Completes continuing education and participates in offered educational opportunities.
- May act as a preceptor and train other staff.
Education Requirement:
High School graduate or equivalent GED, required. Successful completion of an approved medical terminology course or demonstration of equivalent competence, required.
Licensure Requirement: (not specified)
Certifications:
Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider), preferred.
Skills:
Computer skills required. Ability to navigate most current technology systems. Excellent Customer Service Skills. Possess effective interpersonal,verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience:
Previous health care experience in medical office or clinic setting, preferred.
