Job Title

Responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu and/or providing individual TBS services under the direction of a Team Lead and Clinical Supervisor, by ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, clients are supervised, safety is maintained, and clients and families are treated with respect and dignity.

Job Duties:

  • Supports the daily therapeutic programming for children and adolescents in the Kids Thrive pediatric mental health program.
  • Assists clinical staff with implementing treatment plans, behavioral interventions, and skill-building activities.
  • Monitors clients during group, individual, and recreational activities to ensure safety, engagement, and therapeutic structure.
  • Models positive behavior, emotional regulation, and pro-social skills to promote client growth and development.
  • Helps facilitate individual or group interventions, including social skills, coping skills, and psycho-educational activities.
  • Observes, documents, and reports client behavior, participation, and progress throughout the day.
  • Manages crisis situations calmly and effectively, following program safety protocols and de-escalation strategies.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, including completing room checks and monitoring program areas.
  • Collaborates with clinicians, teachers, nurses, and program leadership to ensure coordinated care.
  • Builds positive rapport with clients and families while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Participates in team meetings, trainings, and debriefings to support high-quality care.
  • Learns and competently uses EMR and other required systems to document services, track participation, and communicate with the team.
  • Helps prepare materials and supports staff with program activities and treatment groups.
  • Performs additional tasks that support program safety, organization, and therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of Kids Thrive

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Bachelors or Masters from an accredited college. Combination of education and relevant work experience may be required.
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in a mental health or education setting with young children, with direct experience working with children with mental health or significant behaviors difficulties.
  • License: N/A
  • Additional Requirements:

    Completion of additional mental health training within 30 days of employment. Must be at least 18 years of age. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
