Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT​/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and an active Ohio RRT license.

• Active BLS certification
• Active RRT certification (CRT acceptable in lieu of RRT, not both)
• Active Ohio State RRT license required in hand at time of consideration, license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• High school diploma or official transcripts required for compliance
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor and the second from a charge RN or higher (no coworker references)

• Work in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating between campuses may be required
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, weaning, and high pressure alarm troubleshooting
• Performs airway management including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Administers a wide range of respiratory medications including bronchodilators, steroids, and inhaled agents
• Interprets Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this health system
• RTO must be requested at time of submission and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently upon signing contract; candidates within driving distance must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location, while those farther away will complete a mailed fingerprinting packet
