Travel Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric RT

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of pediatric hospital experience and Level III/IV NICU exposure for a day shift assignment.

• RRT certification required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• OH state license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital setting
• Level III or IV NICU experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation
• Skilled in medication delivery systems including nebulizers, MDIs, and aerosol setups
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric airway management and suctioning procedures
• Two supervisory references required, with at least one being manager or supervisor titled

• Pediatric hospital setting including NICU and Pediatric Critical Care units
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Floating required to different units depending on assignment needs
• Works with Nitric Oxide (iNO) therapy and medication administration
• Utilizes ventilator management equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillators
• Performs airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Provide respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients including Ped Cardiac ICU cases
• Perform sputum specimen collection and tracheostomy care/management
• Candidates who have worked in a permanent position at the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
• 60-mile radius rule applies for local candidates
