Pharmacy Technician
Location: Worthington, OH
Pay:$24.45/hour
Type: Contract-to-hire (W2) • Schedule: 40 hours/week • Onsite
Position Overview
We’re seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This position will assist with prescription filling, IV preparation, medication packaging, billing data entry, inventory management, and delivery coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Work with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription information into the computer system and assist with reimbursement processing
- Prepackage medications for dispensing in accordance with pharmacy standards and applicable government regulations
- Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription checking by staging medications for RPh review and packaging medications following final approval
- Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and rotating incoming medications and pharmacy supplies
- Maintain accurate lot numbers and expiration dates
- Assist with physical inventory and inventory control activities
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
- Work with the Technician Supervisor to ensure equipment is properly calibrated, safe, and clean
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- Experience with prescription filling, IV preparation, medication packaging, or pharmacy operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter prescription and billing information
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Shift Differential / Premiums
- Shift 2 Differential: +$1.00/hr
- Shift 3 Differential: +$2.50/hr
- Overtime/Double-time calculations apply per program policy
