Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel sits in the heart of Columbus, offering easy access to landmarks like the Ohio Theatre, German Village, and the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Responsibilities

As a Front Desk Agent, you will greet and register guests, check guests out, and contribute to outstanding guest service and financial profitability. You will handle tasks such as inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rates, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, assisting guests with check‑out, using the point‑of‑sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting foreign currency, making change, and processing gift certificates and cards.

You will demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information—including room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area, and other general product knowledge—and answer guest questions and inquiries. You will use up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and maximize room occupancy, respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner, field guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

You have prior experience as a Front Desk Agent in a hotel or in a high‑volume industry dealing with customers. You are passionate about providing excellent customer service, always ensuring guest satisfaction and enhancing their experience. You thrive in early evening and weekend work schedules that fit a personal life. You have excellent computer skills, a team spirit, and Marriott brand experience is a plus.
