Room Attendant Noon

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests, and take corrective action to achieve satisfaction.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and dishware.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied.
• Report rooms that cannot be serviced per established procedures.
• When assigned to laundry, monitor supplies and equipment; operate washers and dryers following hotel and manufacturer guidelines.
• Receive and inspect soiled linens; fold and store clean linens; report damages.
• Minimize waste of supplies and amenities within all housekeeping areas.
• Assist with deep‑cleaning projects as needed.
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Handle all lost and found items per procedure.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with shifts and management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Some prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write fluent English; knowledge of other languages is beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills preferred.
• Frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling and moving about the facility.
• Ability to carry, lift or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Experience with commercial cleaning chemicals expected.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Salary: $16 per hour (anticipated).
