HR Generalist

We are a top-ranked promotional marketing agency (PPAI #27, ASI Top 40) seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team.

We need a talented HR Generalist to assist the HR Director in recruiting, training, wage and benefit administration, and employee relation activities, providing departmental guidance to achieve business objectives. Experience in human resources and/or recruiting is required. As a small team, we value a go‑getter who can also support other projects as needed.

What You'll Do
  • Execute bi‑weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in multiple states.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and provide data to the Finance department for general ledger entry.
  • Ensure payroll compliance and employment tax filings.
  • Coordinate annual Open Enrollment, including plan communication and system updates.
  • Assist with company health and financial wellness programs.
  • Act as subject‑matter expert for employee benefit programs and liaison with insurance brokers.
  • Assist the HR Director in recruiting, training, wage/benefit administration, and employee relations activities.
  • Assist in recruitment and screening of resumes.
  • Onboard new employees: orientation, new‑hire paperwork, welcome tour, I-9 verifications, training, and HR transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, state, federal, and local laws, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience
Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and confidence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and resourceful in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Highly organized, diligent, with attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and HR information systems (Paycor a plus).
  • Knowledge of EEOC, ADA, and employment laws.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under time and resource constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to connect deeply with people, maintain trust, and navigate sensitive issues.
  • Ability to deal with department heads and team members requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Desire to work as a team with a result‑driven approach.
