HR Generalist / Talent Management, HR Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Recruiter / Talent Acquisition
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to lead the Human Resources function at our service center. This role focuses on employee relations, policy application, recruitment, onboarding, benefits support, and leadership development.
Responsibilities- Guide employee relations, ensuring consistent policy and procedure application, including progressive discipline, problem resolution, and onboarding.
- Make day‑to‑day decisions about employees and foster behaviors that align with OD’s values and service excellence expectations.
- Proactively monitor employee/labor relations issues, enhance management‑employee interaction, and ensure effective communication with employees.
- Assist the Corporate HR recruiting group in establishing and maintaining relationships with local high schools and colleges, and participate in job fairs and recruiting events.
- Recruit, interview, and work with the Service Center Manager to fill open positions.
- Manage the employee onboarding and orientation process, including conducting sessions as needed.
- Handle and respond to questions regarding benefits, pay, time‑off policies, and other employee matters.
- Provide local level support for FMLA/Disability process adherence with the Corporate HR Leave of Absence Management team.
- Assist Corporate HR benefits, leave of absence, and compensation groups with implementation of programs as needed.
- Provide counsel and leadership in HR decisions, procedures, and programs; act as a liaison for feedback and communication between the Regional HR Manager and Regional Ops Management team.
- Create and facilitate employee and leadership training on an ongoing basis as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in the trucking industry.
- Proficiency with AS400, SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.
- Strong leadership, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Salary range: $86,391 – $107,988 (based on location, experience and market conditions).
Working days:
Monday–Friday.
Shift: AM/PM (subject to change based on scheduling and business needs).
