Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator to join our leadership support team at our headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. The Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator will support the Human Resources function by managing day‑to‑day HR administration while ensuring company wide compliance with all city, state and federal employment laws and regulations. This role is responsible for employee training, performance management administration, compliance documentation, policy development and audit support across all departments.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail‑oriented and comfortable working cross‑functionally with leadership, managers and employees to promote consistent, compliant and efficient HR and operational practices. The Human Resources and Compliance Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, employee development and organizational accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in‑person training for new and existing employees on company systems, programs and procedures
  • Conduct weekly in‑person meetings with managers and supervisors on employee progress to assess if more training is needed
  • Understand and navigate all company systems and programs to efficiently train employees
  • Implement and develop the Key Performance Indicator Program in isolved to be used by company employees to track employee progress
  • Conduct small group and one‑on‑one training for all employees to use the isolved KPI program
  • Monitor and maintain employee performance using our performance management software (isolved KPI program)
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all roles within all departments
  • Support Human Resources to ensure compliance with all city, state and federal regulations
  • Review and manage employee files to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Assist management with recruiting, prescreening, scheduling interviews and onboarding of employees as necessary
  • Create and monitor all documents in HR folder to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Stay updated on 19 law and regulatory changes to ensure proper documentation
  • Work with senior leadership to ensure company policies and the employee handbook are up to date and compliant
  • Maintain compliance signage for department of Labor, city, state and federal requirements
  • Audit OSHA 300 logs and ensure accurate tracking of safety meeting documentation
  • Monitor toolbox talks and safety meeting documentation for files
  • Research and develop policies for unfamiliar compliance issues to ensure the company’s adherence to all regulations
  • Implement internal checks and balances to streamline processes and prevent compliance issues
  • Perform random audits to ensure compliance across all departments
  • Document and track incidents to ensure timely follow‑up by Human Resources and management
  • Any other tasks as assigned by management
Required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR or compliance‑related work
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and compliance software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills; capable of working independently and collaboratively
  • Enthusiastic about learning and advancing within the company
  • High attention to detail and quick retention of new information
Compensation

$55,000 – $65,000

This is a full‑time position Monday – Friday. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
