Job Overview
Human Resources Specialist – Health System Shared Services | Human Resource Administration.
Scope of PositionThe Human Resource Specialist supports the efficient delivery of HR services to designated managers, staff, and faculty. Responsibilities include providing guidance on HR policies and processes, monitoring and reporting key metrics, and supporting the human resources team with analysis and support services to maximize the effectiveness of HR processes that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. The role serves as a role model for staff, management, and faculty, consistently representing service excellence.
Responsibilities- Ensure seamless HR support and exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the HR Business Partner team and manage Workday and Service Now transactions.
- Partner with the HR Service Center and maintain compliance with payroll and internal controls.
- Build strong relationships with management, staff, and faculty, gathering customer concerns and establishing trust.
- Assist with HR lifecycle processes, identify educational needs, support compliance efforts, and provide tactical support for organizational restructuring.
- Conduct data analysis, reporting, and technical support to ensure alignment and consistency in communication across organizational levels.
- Serve as an employee champion and communicate proactively to support HR practices and overall HR service delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources, business administration, or related work (2‑4 years preferred).
- Experience with HRIS systems functionality.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with all levels of the organization.
- Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
