Human Resources Operations Specialist

Our client is a leading freelance talent marketplace and workforce management platform, connecting global organisations with vetted technology, creative and marketing specialists.

Following the launch of its W2 employment solution across all 50 states, the business is looking for a HR Operations Manager to take full ownership of its US employed workforce.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role covering the complete worker lifecycle, multi-state compliance, payroll and employee relations for external clients.

• Own the W2 worker lifecycle
  - Manage every stage from contract acceptance and onboarding through to benefits, payroll, renewals and offboarding.
• Manage payroll and compliance
  - Ensure accurate weekly payroll, I-9 verification, state filings, benefits administration and termination documentation.
• Act as the US subject-matter expert
  - Advise internal teams on worker classification, multi-state employment requirements, leave, overtime and final-pay obligations.
• Support multi-state growth
  - Coordinate registrations, workers' compensation, payroll, benefits and state-specific policies as the business expands.

• US payroll and HR operations experience
  - You have managed W2 workers within a staffing, contingent workforce or MSP environment.
• Strong multi-state knowledge
  - You understand the operational detail and compliance risk involved in employing workers across different US states.
• Hands-on employee relations experience
  - You are confident managing terminations, involuntary exits and sensitive employee matters.
• A process-driven mindset
  - You can improve SOPs, coordinate multiple vendors and use technology, AI and automation to work more efficiently.

A base salary of circa $90,000, a new Mac Book, 25 days' PTO + 6 federal holidays, 401k, Healthcare & much more
