Travel: 2-3 days per month to adjacent manufacturing sites
About the RoleWorkspire is partnering with a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven manufacturing and infrastructure platform to identify a Senior HR Business Partner based in Columbus, Ohio.
This role sits at the center of a high-growth environment, supporting both an established operation and a newly acquired business, with additional acquisitions on the horizon. You’ll partner directly with senior leadership and plant teams to build scalable HR processes, support a growing workforce, and help shape the people strategy as the organization continues to expand.

Responsibilities HR Partnership & Operations- Serve as the primary HR partner
- Partner closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with business needs and growth plans
- Support organizational integration efforts tied to recent and upcoming acquisitions
- Lead full‑cycle recruiting efforts for plant and operational roles
- Partner with hiring managers on workforce planning and hiring strategy
- Ensure a strong candidate experience from sourcing through onboarding
- Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers on workplace matters
- Support investigations, performance management, and employee development conversations
- Help foster a positive, compliant, and performance‑driven culture
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Manage HR processes including I‑9s, employee records, and policy adherence
- Support ongoing transition from PEO (Tri Net) to a more scalable internal HR infrastructure
- Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy of employee data
- Maintain and optimize HR systems and reporting
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve HR workflows and data integrity
- Oversee and support a local team member handling HR data entry and administrative tasks
- Contribute to building out future HR infrastructure as the company scales
- Help establish processes that will support projected headcount growth in 2026 and beyond
- 5–7+ years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments strongly preferred
- Strong background in recruiting and talent acquisition for operational roles
- Familiarity with PEO environments (Tri Net experience a plus)
- Working knowledge of payroll processes, HR compliance, and employment laws
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
