DevOps Infra Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
• Lead various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
• Lead the Development of infrastructure solutions for business applications.
• Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
• Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
• Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors
• Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements
• Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
• Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability to ensure optimal operation of applications and services
• Identify and resolve issues related to Dev Ops processes and infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption
• Collaborate with development, QA, and SRE teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
• Evaluate internal and external software solutions to meet target state architecture goals.
• Review and analyze high-impact outages to ensure proper processes and procedures are in place.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaboration with the team and third-party vendors.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Interact with customers and vendors.

• 7+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent.
• 7+ years  experience working with one or more CI/CD Pipeline (Git Hub), Harness/Spinnaker & Release management.
• 7+ years  Experience with either of Cloud & Container technologies: PCF/AKS/Azure/OCP/K8s.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is important for packaging and deploying applications in containers and orchestrating them across multiple machines
• Proficiency in using Git Hub Actions and other version control systems is essential for managing code and deployments

• Engineering and development experience on middleware messaging platforms: IBM MQ. Solace & Confluent Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with either of Cloud & Container technologies: PCF/AKS/Azure/OCP/K8s.
• Hands on experience with Automation Scripting:
  Bash, Shell, Terraform, Azure Dev Ops
• Experience in setting up and using Observability/Monitoring tools:
  Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, App Dynamics, Kafka, Big Panda, Splunk
• Should have worked with one or more CI/CD Pipeline (Git Hub, Jenkins), Release management and Automation tools:
  Gradle, Maven, Git
• Service Now experience a plus
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies (from a platform setup and optimization point)
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings)
