Competitive Intelligence Consultant## Department:
Arts and Sciences | Office of Industry Partnerships and Research Collaborations The Competitive Intelligence Consultant plays a pivotal role in advancing the strategic goals of the college by uncovering and interpreting data-driven insights that align academic competencies with industry needs. This position requires a deep understanding of university data, bibliometric and patent information, and external market intelligence to identify opportunities for collaboration, commercialization, and strategic engagement.
The Competitive Intelligence Consultant is responsible for conducting comprehensive landscape and situational analyses to inform strategies for engaging with industry partners, investors, and potential licensees. This intelligence enables the college to proactively respond to changes that may impact existing or prospective relationships.
Additionally, the Competitive Intelligence Consultant tracks and reports on internal performance metrics, including commercialization outcomes, research expenditures, faculty outreach efforts, and other indicators of success. These insights are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the office’s initiatives and support continuous improvement in strategic engagement efforts.
