Operations Support Specialist Job Summary

The Job Order Operations Specialist supports daily operational activities by executing and maintaining job orders within SAP and Salesforce (SF). This role plays a critical part in ensuring job orders are accurate, up to date, and properly configured to support frontline execution. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable collaborating with frontline teams and work management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute job orders in SAP and Salesforce (SF) systems
  • Cancel, delete, or void job orders as required
  • Update work centers to ensure accurate job routing and execution
  • Maintain and update job order commit dates
  • Recreate job orders that fail to generate required forms for execution
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness across all job order records
  • Troubleshoot job order issues and coordinate with appropriate teams to resolve them
  • Interact with frontline personnel and work management teams to support execution needs

Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Salesforce preferred (not required)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal (“people”) skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Ability to work onsite in Columbus, OH 3 days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

Project Support

This role will primarily support Gas Line operations.

Responsibilities include
  • Managing scheduling, coordinating workflow, and reviewing all job orders—new, current, and backlog (e.g., new utility line installations, line repairs, site fixes, updates, and general cleanup tasks for field agents in the systems that feed their daily work).
  • Entering job orders into SAP, which in turn feeds Salesforce (requires the ability to be technically savvy with a solid understanding of workflows and systems (training will be provided).
  • Validate job orders, update records, and help clean and standardize the data set.
  • Given the high level of data inconsistencies across systems, this individual will review and triage incoming, active, and older work, work through the daily job management processes, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Basic experience with Salesforce, SAP, and Excel is beneficial, not required
