Database Administrator

Overview

This role focuses on the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-level databases that support global, high‑availability operations. You’ll support database development projects through scripting, participate in physical database design, and help ensure secure, high-performing, and resilient database environments. This includes installations, upgrades, backups, and ongoing operational support within a 24x7x365 environment.

The ideal candidate

• 4+ years with Oracle on Linux
• Experience with high‑availability architectures (Always On, Windows Clustering, Oracle RAC) and standby database setups (Always On/Data Guard)
• Strong SQL, PL/SQL, Power Shell, and Unix shell scripting;
  Java/Perl a plus
• Hands‑on performance tuning for MS SQL/Oracle and experience with backup tools (RMAN/TSM)
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools, logical/physical design, and platforms such as Oracle Exadata, IBM‑DB2, and Golden Gate
• Exposure to Snowflake and AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, Redshift, DMS, S3) preferred
• Ability to learn quickly, work under guidance, communicate effectively, and deliver strong customer service
• Solid analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
• Willingness to participate in a 24x7x365 on‑call rotation
