QA Testing Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester with a strong background in data validation to support an enterprise-level system conversion project. This role is essential in ensuring data integrity during the migration of large volumes of data from legacy systems to a new platform. The ideal candidate will be analytical, self-driven, and comfortable working with data-heavy systems that lack user interfaces.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform manual verification and validation of data at rest and in transit during system migrations.
• Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases and data sets for end-to-end, integration, and system-level testing.
• Use company-approved testing tools to document test outcomes and track defects.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to manage test data and validate outcomes.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other QA testers in a cross-functional team.
• Participate in planning meetings and provide regular status updates.
• Work with APIs using tools like Insomnia and validate job executions and system logs.
• Participate in off-hours production releases in a support role.

• 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing, especially in data migration projects.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data across multiple databases.
• Proficiency with Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation.
• Experience working in a Windows OS environment and with programmatic IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio Code).
• Ability to work with systems that have little to no user interface.
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops for defect tracking and test case management.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

• Financial industry experience, especially in areas such as collections, commercial loans, credit cards, or installment loans.
• Experience with file transfer testing and working with data in transit.
• Familiarity with Python (ability to read and modify existing scripts).
• Experience with Visual Studio Code.
• Exposure to API testing tools like Insomnia or Postman.
